The base of this organic tea is a hybrid of the Thea Assam and Sinensis shrubs. Assam teas are usually grown in India but with the idea of growing "dark" teas in Japan has been wildly successful with this harvest. The leaves are flat with a deep black appearance and reddish cup when brewed. Nuance of ripe plums and delicate sweetness linger.

"Fu" means to blow and "Soonga" means cane. This smokey tea is the first attempt at a "smokey" Assam. The tea maker blows smoke through bamboo canes on the leaves during processing. Milder than our traditional Russian Caravan, with a smooth, aromatic balance of smoke and Assam tea leaves.
