Fenugreek has a sweet nutty flavor with an alluring maple aroma. In Middle Eastern cuisine it generally is added to many dishes from soup to breads.  It can use it when making chutney and jams to add sweetness.

Fenugreek has been believed to have healing powers.  It was even used in a "holy smoke" ritual when embalming the dead.
