Our Organic Allspice, so named because it is reminiscent of clove, cinnamon and nutmeg all in one. Whole allspice is used to poach fish stock, vegetables and pickled fruits.  Ground allspice is used for baking spice cakes or cookies, gravies, barbecue sauces and jerk seasoning.

Native to the Western Hemisphere, Allspice is a berry that has a soft, sweet clove flavor.  It was originally from the Caribbean but was brought back to Europe and beyond as a substitute for black pepper.
